The endobiogenic approach is the medical reflexion, developed by Dr. Duraffourd and his collaborators, focused on the patient and all his physiological dysfunctions. It introduces the fundamental concept for any living system of a systemic, integrative vision with the notions of dynamics and relativity. Integrative clinical phytotherapy enables us to resituate and use the “medicinal plant” tool in all its potentialities and in its totum. This specific reflexion makes it possible to approach not just the pathology, but the patient as a physiological and pathophysiological whole, highlighting the various imbalances in the neuroendocrine regulatory systems responsible for the quality of the adaptive response and whether or not there is a swing towards disease.
After a brief review of general concepts, we present 20 monographs on medicinal plants. They are original in that they describe the traditional use, clinical pharmacology and integrative clinical phytotherapy of the plant in question, all based on knowledge confirmated by numerous scientific publications and the clinical experience of the authors.
We also present 8 clinical cases: starting from the classical diagnosis, systemic and integrative reasoning opens a set of doors to understanding all the neuroendocrine regulatory imbalances that have prevented a correct adaptive response and a return to a state of health. This enables the pathology expressed to be resituated within the overall dysfunctions of the organism and its regulatory systems and, ultimately, leads to the construction of a truly etiological treatment specific to the individual concerned. Sample prescriptions and numerous summary tables complete this reference book.
