The field of phosphorus and calcium diseases covers highly varied diseases, from neonatal disorders to genetic diseases that manifest in adolescence or adulthood, from hypocalcaemic convulsions to kidney stone disorders, and including rickets, subcutaneous calcifications, and certain bone diseases.
