Atherothrombosis and its complications have become among the major pathologies of the third millennium. The disease is continuously evolving, from the patient at risk to one who presents symptoms at an advanced stage. Therefore prevention will have a major part to play.
This second volume places the emphasis on pinpointing the location of cardio-vascular, cerebro-vascular and lower-limb atherothrombosis by expanding on the definition of the clinical symptoms, diagnosis, prevention and specific forms of treatment for each case.
The final three chapters describe specific cases, with the discovery of the disease in unusual locations such as the digestive tube, kidneys, eyes and ears, as well as atherothrombosis in diabetic and polyvascular patients.
